Watercolor allowed me to better convey the movements and changes that developed on the stage to paper. Actually, reflecting a dynamic scene on paper is one of the most difficult things for me in drawing, but with watercolor, things have become much easier. I was telling what I saw to the paint and water by adjusting their amount on paper, and they spontaneously performed the scene.
One of the most beautiful thing about the movements of clouds that I have noticed was how they are gathering together and than multiplying from each other. I tried to show this formations and deformations with watercolor. I always used water a lot, I don’t know if this is wrong or right, but the places I put water in my painting always had a route. I did not want to cause the different colored waterways to be mixed with each other, I wanted to observe their mixing in their own way. I think while doing watercolor the performers are always water and color, and we are the connectors.
