She saw the koshino house in a vertical way as a section in a city dominated by the high rise buildings that even changed the silhouette of stark topography behind the city. There is a terrace, an open space on upper parts of the building and some floors are cut before reaching the facade that allows sunlight inside. I see the darker parts in the section and in lower parts light fades out and the street section creates a melancholic feeling. But when I examine the technical language of the drawing I cannot say which part is cut and which are not.
Belardi said that “There are many more things “seeable” with irrational knowledge than we
can comprehend with rational thought.” (2015, p.156) According to this quote, when I look at the drawing, I remember that colors tell us the “moment” that no rational knowledge can give us in the reading of the city, and in fact a city is formed from moments and time. Textures, topographical features, and people describe things that cannot be measured in this drawing.
