I can understand that it must be a very warm area, there are 2 radiating shapes in sky. That must be the reason why a shelter area of sorts, a haven maybe is placed underground to avoid heat. While staying underground the communication or examination of the outer shell is still ongoing, there are wires and watchtower of some sorts providing the information. The shelter has very thick walls and seems to be able to hold many people yet it seems that the harm can reach into the upper levels of it. There are deeper levels that are safer.
